The year 2020 imprisoned us at home for hours, days and months. It was a period of longing for outdoors, but also of opportunities for a different photography. Here are a number of photographs I made chez moi, at home, in which both concepts are expressed.

The post’s leading image is a part of a project that had stopped abruptly. See the gallery: Training.

Covid-19 Lockdown

My hiking shoes remained orphaned on the carpet during the first lockdown.

Applachian Hummingbird

Still life. I bought this hummingbird years ago at the Appalachian mountains, USA.

Oren Hasson Self Portrait

During this gloomy period I have retaught myself to trim and cut my own hair. It used to be easier when my hair was curly and reached my shoulders.

Digital reality

The creation of this photograph may not be self explanatory. I created it with a combination of two simultaneous cameras, one is the computer camcorder photographing me photographing my two computer screens, projecting to them what it sees, while I am photographing them with my Canon DSLR.

A circular explanation? – Of course. After all, it IS how this photograph had been created.
