At the age of 5 my parents moved from countryside area to the city. Since then I grew up as a Nature Boy-Tel Aviv. The little critters I found in the building’s backyard, the birds – in the air, and the big animals, at the zoo. To all of them, and to my father who took me frequently to the zoo, I owe my affinity to the natural world.
Photographing in zoos is a loaded creation. Certainly to me as a professional naturalist, certainly to me with all my memories from my childhood. It also requires various technical skills to cope with contrasting lights, reflections and bars, and making both technical and artistic choices.
