Zoos and Aquaria

At the age of 5 my parents moved from countryside area to the city. Since then I grew up as a Nature Boy-Tel Aviv. The little critters I found in the building’s backyard, the birds – in the air, and the big animals, at the zoo. To all of them, and to my father who took me frequently to the zoo, I owe my affinity to the natural world.
Photographing in zoos is a loaded creation. Certainly to me as a professional naturalist, certainly to me with all my memories from my childhood. It’s a challenge.  It requires technical skills to cope with contrasting lights, reflections and bars, and to make artistic choices.
