Achinoam (Noa) Nini in Concert
I was invited to photograph Achinoam (Noa) Nini in concert in Gray, Israel, November 2018, with her 28 years companion, Gil Dor, and the bass player, Or Lubianiker.
There are two collections in this gallery. The first (top) is a special collection of photographs I took while Achinoam was singing a most tender love song written by Rachel, the Hebrew poet, to the son she never had. ‘Barren’ she called this poem. ‘Uri’ she called him, her would be son, which is also the poem’s popular name.
Uri I’d call him,
My Uri!
Soft and clear is the short name.
A shard of aura…
I wait for him.
